THE CRISIS
What, How & Why It's Occurring
What the crisis is
Family Court judges routinely take custody away from women and give children to fathers who are controlling, vengeful, abusive, or who want to avoid child support.
How it is happening
Judges, often with the assistance of children's attorneys and psychologists, falsely find women to be liars, alienators or mentally ill, while disregarding or minimizing unfitness or abuse by the father. Cases follow a pattern.
How judges get away with it
The family court system is designed so judges have virtually absolute power. They can rule however they want, regardless of facts, evidence, research, statutes or constitutions.
What gender's got to do with it
The only injustice occurring in epidemic numbers in Family Court is women losing custody fathers who do not deserve it. It's rare for judges to disregard abuse by mothers or fabricate negative evidence about fathers to justify giving custody to self-serving or abusive mothers.
Why it's happening
Underpinning family court systems around the world are patriarchal attitudes and an agenda to keep fathers entitled in their families. Men are endowed with the power to take children away from their ex after a divorce, which gives them power to keep women in the relationship and punish them for leaving. The age-old threat, "I'll take the children if you leave me" is kept operative by the Family Court system.
Why women don't know
Women don't realize men have the power to take their children until it is too late, because judges use gag orders and threats to silence women; and because mainstream media has spread misinformation by court officials, professionals and fathers rights groups.
What's the solution
The only solution to the crisis is to remove judges' power to decide custody and put it in the hands of a jury, along with the other protections provided for in the "Child Custody Court Act".
Implementing the solution
Women must unite as a class, as half the population, to demand an end to this systemic entitling and empowering of men after divorce or separation.
